Changing Face of Homelessness in Australia (2SER 107.3)

It’s a sobering statistic that over 1 in 200 of all Australians are currently experiencing homelessness. While this is an issue that is only getting bigger, many organisations out there have started to make inroads into the problem. One such organisation is Mission Australia, and it has had great success in housing homeless people getting them back on their feet and giving them a second chance.
While there has been some progress, the issue of social dislocation and general disrespect society places on the homeless doesn’t help solving the problem. Can we do more to help the homeless?
