Xavier Dunn goes ambient with new single, ‘Isic Tutor’ (Music Insight)
Indietronic producer and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Dunn has turned heads yet again with the release of his brand new single, ‘Isic Tutor.’
Dunn already has over 20 million Spotify streams and three #1 HypeMachine positions under his belt, along with an impressive collaborator catalogue that includes writing and producing for artists like SUPERCRUEL, Jack River, Nina Las Vegas, Jesse Porsches and NGHTMRE & Carmada.
However, ‘Isic Tutor’ is one of the first projects that Xavier has released under his own name, and is the first glimpse of bigger things to come for the artist.
The track is a haunting analysis of a mismatched love; with ethereal instrumentation droning throughout the song and Dunn’s chilling vocal delivery leaving you hanging on every word he sings.
The track is filled with a melancholic, internal atmosphere, and the music video, directed by Cole Bennetts, matches the vibe perfectly.
Dunn explained that the track explores the idea that no matter how much you try to compromise, push and pull, sometimes the outlook remains the same and you can end up searching for answers that aren’t there.
“‘Isic Tutor’ is an ambient earworm, inspired in part by the ebbs and flows of a tumultuous relationship and in part by the strange wisdom of Isic, an AI character from the video game Battleborn,” said Dunn.
