Sydney prog rockers Lazy Byrd release debut single (Music Insight)

Sydney prog rock group Lazy Byrd have started off 2018 with a bang, dropping a brand new single ‘Pavel’.

It’s a banger of a debut single, with Ana Van Pelt singing about the danger of meeting strangers at the train station, and the surprising companionship that may come out of it.

The track explodes in its second half with a delicious guitar solo, expansive song structure and intensifying percussion. Fans of progressive outfits like Karnivool will have a lot of fun with this track.

In celebration of the release, Lazy Byrd will also be playing several gigs around Sydney with The Sixth Circle House Band.

The band has teased that a second single could also be on the horizon.

‘Pavel’ is out now.
